Forbiddenfruit is a hard seltzer brewing company that
combines organic flavorings to create truly new and unique
flavors. The name "forbidden fruit" is derived from the
Biblical narrative of Adam and Eve, and the ancient Greek
tale of Persephone and the pomegranate. — in both stories,
fruit symbolized both “evil and knowledge.” My goal was
to create a playful brand experience that makes something
so “wrong” feel so “right.”
Because the hard seltzer market is oversaturated, one of
the biggest challenges was to create a product that stood
out from the competition and appealed to seltzer drinkers
looking for something a little outside the norm.
